Department of Defence

Location: Australia

Defence manages in excess of 3 million hectares of land across Australia. Defence contracts pig management services where relevant across its estate, and welcomes a collaborative approach with adjoining landholders to deal with shared issues such as pig-borne diseases and damage.

For example, Defence has worked closely with state agencies to assist in control of the outbreak of Panama disease near Tully in North Queensland.
